A New Moringa Cultivar‘Dian Lamu 1’

Abstract: ‘Dian Lamu 1’is a new cultivar selected from the Moringa oleifera cultivation group introduced from Taiwan,China. The petiole,flower stalk and torus are red,and the petals are white from November to February,with irregular blush in the middle. The yield of flavonoids and polyphenols in flowers was higher than that of leaves,which was 2.4 times and 2.1 times that of leaves. It is suitable for planting at an altitude of less than 700 m,with rainfall of 500–600 mm,annual average temperature above 19 ℃,and it is best for planting in dry-hot valley areas such as Yuanjiang and Yuanyang where the annual average temperature is above 22 ℃.
