Abstract: ‘Senmao 2’is a new early-ripening northern highbush blueberry（Vaccinium corymbosum L.）cultivar selected from natural hybridization seedling of‘Sunrise’seeds. The average fruit weight is 3.16 g and the biggest one is 4.20 g. The yield of its 3-year-old plant is 12 617 kg ? hm-2，which is 20% higher than that of‘Sunrise’. The fruit shape of‘Senmao 2’is oblate，its fruit powder is thick and uniform texture. The picking scar is small and dry. The fruit firmness is very good，and the average value is 4.5 kg ? cm-2，which is beneficial to storage. Its total sugar（in terms of glucose）is 0.055 g ? g-1，and total acid（in terms of citric acid）is 2.9 mg ? g-1.‘Senmao 2’has high sweetness，and low acidity. It has good taste and rich flavor，which is suitable for fresh market.
