A New Early-maturing Apricot Cultivar‘Luxing 5

Abstract:

‘Luxing 5apricot is an early ripening cultivar derived from the cross of‘Jintaiyang’בBadanshuixing’. The fruit is oval-shaped and the average fruit weight is 97.0 g. The ground color of fruit is yellow,with spotted flush in the sunward surface. The flesh is golden,juicy,sour-sweet and aroma,with 11.3%–13.6% soluble solids content and 96.9% edible part percentage,freestone. The kernel is sweet. It ripens in early to mid-June in Tai’an of Shandong and the fruit development period is about 75 d. ‘Luxing 5is characterized by early fruit,high yield and high comprehensive quality.
