Advances of Diagnosis Techniques for Citrus Virus and Virus-like Diseases

Abstract:

Citrus virus and virus-like diseases have causeddevastating losses in global citrus production.Diagnosis technology is an important safeguard for the prevention and control of citrus virus and virus-like diseases. In this paper,the research progress in recent years on indicator plant,electron microscopy,serological method,molecular hybridization,(RT-)PCR,(RT-)LAMP,DNA chip and high-throughput sequencing were reviewed. Furthermore,the further research directions of diagnosis of citrus pathogens were also discussed in order to lay a sound foundation for better control of the damage caused by citrus virus and virus-like diseases.
