Abstract:

‘Milian’is a new cultivar selected from the natural hybrid progenies of Iris sanguinea f. albiflora. The flower of‘Mi Lian’is bigger and the diameter is about 9.89 cm. The three inner perianths of ‘Milian’tilt upward about 30°，the three spoon-type part of outer perianths open almost horizontally. Flowering time is from mid June to early July，and fruiting time is from August to September.‘Milian’grows well over the winter in the open area in Harbin，it’s suitable to be applied in the north area of China.
