Abstract: ‘Huangsi Ziban’is a new ornamental cultivar，which is selected from a bud mutation found among a population of cultivated Hedychium villosum plants. The leaves are long oblong，and the shape of the apex of the leaves is strong acute. The bracts are dark-reddish brown. The main color of coralla lobes is strong reddish purple. Labellums are deeply cleft at the tip，with obviously curled and while. The filaments and anthers are light yellow and moderately yellow，respectively. The floral fragrance is moderate. The flowering period of a single inflorescence is about 25 days. The population blooms in spring，with a flowering period of about 50 days. It is suitable for facility cultivation in Guangdong.
