Abstract: ‘Baijin 3’is a new pansy cultivar bred by crossing a tetraploid inbred line of Viola × wittrockiana（DSRFY-4-2-2-1）as the female parent and a diploid inbred line of V. tricolor（08H-3-2-1-2）as the male parent. The cultivar has large flowers. The upper petals of the flower are purple with gold borders，and the side and lower petals are yellow with brown blotch. The plant of this cultivar has compact type，vigorous growth，and cold resistance，making it an excellent cultivar for flower bed and pots.
