Abstract: ‘Zhonghan 5’is a new cold-resistant peach cultivar selected from the hybrid progeny of‘Aodong Hantao’בZhongnong Hantao 1’. Its flowers are rose-shaped with strong self-fruitfulness. The leaves are green,measuring 12.4 cm in length,4.4 cm in width,and the petiole is 0.5 cm long. The fruits are ovate with a clingstone. The average single fruit weight is 174.3 g,the peel has a pale green background color,and the flesh is pale green. The soluble solids content is 7.9% and the titratable acid content is 0.77%. The fruit development period is about 110 days. It exhibits strong cold resistance and can overwinter in open fields under the temperature condition of-23 ℃ to-20 ℃. It was trial-planted in Suizhong County,Huludao City,Liaoning Province,and Heishan County,Jinzhou City,Liaoning Province,with yields of 28 430 and 27 850 kg · hm^-2,respectively. The cultivar is suitable for spring cultivation in Huludao,Liaoning.
