Abstract: ‘Huayun’is a new high-quality and mid-ripening pear cultivar which was selected from the cross of‘Zaosu’and‘Huangguan’. The tree has a strong growth vigor,semi-upright posture and moderate branching ability. The fruit is conical with an average single fruit weight of 263.04 g. The peel is yellow green with red blush on the sunny side. The sepals are persistent and upright. The flesh is milky white,fine and crisp with abundant juice. The average content of soluble solids is 11.53%. In Xingcheng area,Liaoning Province,the fruit ripens in early September,and the fruit development period is about 120 d. The yield of the full fruit was about 34 500 kg · hm^-2. It is suitable for cultivation in Liaoning,Hebei and similar ecological areas.
