Abstract: ‘Jiangbianfeng’is a new cultivar selected from seed-grown trees in the almond orchards of Arele Township,Shache County,Xinjiang. The fruit is oval-shaped,with the outer pericarp splitting evenly after ripening,making harvesting convenient. The inner pericarp is ovate,belonging to the semi-hard shell type（shell thickness 2.5 mm）,with a smooth surface and no cracks. The kernel has a sweet and delicious taste and is rich in nutrients. The nuts have high uniformity,with a 1 000-kernel weight of 390 g,a kernel yield of 45.0%,and no double kernels. The cultivar demonstrates strong and stable productivity,yielding an average of over 16.4 kg of nuts per tree during peak production. It exhibits outstanding cold and heat tolerance,making it suitable for cultivation in southern Xinjiang and regions with similar climates.
