Abstract: Watermelon‘Jixin 751’is a new mid-early-maturing watermelon cultivar. It was bred by crossing selfing line ZK-294 as female parent and selfing line MB-292 as male parent. The whole growth period is about 90 days,and the fruit development period is about 30 days. The plant is easy to set fruit,the fruit is round,and the fruit shape index is 0.98. The peel is dark green and covered with dark green sharp teeth. The fruit has a lot of wax powder. The peel is hard and 1.3 cm in thickness. This cultivar is tolerant to storage and transportation. The flesh is pink with 71.1 mg · kg^-1 FW lycopene content,and its center soluble solids content is 11.8%. It is crisp with good taste and excellent quality. The average fruit weight is about 8.6 kg,and the yield is about 68 241 kg · hm^-2. This cultivar is suitable for open field planting in Jilin Province in spring.
