Abstract: Begonia‘Love Chocolate’is a new Begonia cultivar selected from the F₁ generation of an artificial cross using B. masoniana as the female parent and B. ningmingensis as the male parent. The leaf surface appears chocolate-brown on young leaves and turns dark green on mature leaves,densely covered with reddish pubescence. The plant exhibits a compact habit with a small and aesthetically pleasing form,offering high ornamental value. The flowers are unisexual and monoecious. The inflorescence is a cyme,typically bearing five male flowers and three female flowers. The tepals are pale pink,and the flowering period is from September to November. This cultivar is well-suited for potted ornamental use.
