Abstract: ‘Huaxin’ is a new high yielding and good quality anti-cracking watermelon. Its fruit shape is round with bright-green rind with wax powder. The rind thickness is about 0.9 cm. The flesh color is bright red and the center soluble solids content is about 11.5%. The single fruit weight is about 8 to 10 kg. It takes about 33 days from flowers to fruits. The yield is about 67.5 t · hm^-2 in protected fields. Its taste is crisp with excellent flavor like‘Jingxin’，but more anti-crack with higher yield and suitable for storage and transportation. It’s well adapted to early spring and autumn plastic house culture and open field culture in Huang-Huai-Hai region.
