Abstract: t‘Hongheping’ is a new generation of hybrid watermelon germplasm with high yield，resistant to disease，and superior quality. The shape of fruit is spherical and pericarp is green with greenish black stripes on the surface which was covered with wax powder. The flesh is deep red，fine and close，delicious sweet. In normal conditions，the soluble solids content ranges between 11%–12% and the average weight of single fruit is 4–5 kg. So，it is better quality，beautiful appearance，long distance transportation and good merchandise. The whole growth period is 100 d and the fruit development period
is 30 d. The plants are resistance to blight and tolerance to low temperatures. The yield under filed condition is up to 42 t · hm^-2.
