Abstract: ‘Meisheng’is a new watermelon cultivar by crossing‘Huazaolü’as female parent and ‘904-2-1-M’as male parent. It has fracture resistance and high yield. The fruit development period is 30 days. The fruit is round with dark green skin and thin green stripes. The number of stripes is from fourteen to sixteen and clear with waxy cuticle. The pericarp thickness is 1 cm，with good toughness and resistance to storage and transportation. The fruit flesh is red，sandy and juicy with less fiber. The soluble solids content in center is about 11.1%. The average fruit weight is 7.4 kg. The yield is 75 570 kg ? hm-2. It is suitable for early spring protected cultivation area in Hebei Province.
