A New Early-maturing Apricot Cultivar‘Luxing 4’

Abstract: ‘Luxing 4’is an early-maturing apricot cultivar derived from the cross of‘Jintaiyang’בBadanshuixing’. The fruit is oval-shaped and the average fruit weight is 86.8 g. The ground color of fruit is yellow,with flush in the sunward surface. The flesh is golden,juicy,sour-sweet and aromatic,with 11.4%–13.5% soluble solids content and 95.2% edible part percentage,freestone and sweet kernel. It ripens in early-June in Tai’an,Shandong and the fruit development period is about 65 d.‘Luxing 4’is characterized by early fruit,high yield and high comprehensive quality.
