Abstract:

‘Hayan 5’is a hybrid pickling type cucumber cultivar derived from‘Y608-4’as the female parent and‘Y244-114’as the male parent. Vigorous plants knot cucumbers ability strong. It ripe early and is female line. The fruit like short stick，is about 10 cm long and 3 cm diameter. It has dark green skin，white thorn densely and tiny tumor. It is dense meat and flavor good. It is suitable for open and protected cultivation in the northern region of China in early spring.
