Abstract:

‘Zhongrui 2’is a new hybrid cultivar of fresh-edible pumpkin which was oriented from the Cucurbita moschata cross-combination between a bush type inbred‘13-295’and a butter-type inbred‘13-280’. The fruit shape is ellipsoid and single fruit weight is about 0.8–1.0 kg. The rind color of the fruit is light green covered with white fine stripes. The fruit tastes crisp and sweet. The cultivar displays better quality，richer nutrition，and higher yield. It is suitable to be cultivated in the open field of Beijing in the early spring.
