A New Celery Hybrid‘Jinrui 76’

Abstract: ‘Jinrui 76’is a new celery hybrid crossbred by cytoplasmic male sterile line‘Y811A' and inbred line‘Y1002'. The plant is compact and upright,with a height of 77 cm,the first petiole of 39 cm in length and 2.2 cm in width,strong and fleshy,solid,light green and shiny. It grew faster and vigorously in the early stage. It was harvested about 75 days after planting. The weight of a single plant reached 1.1 kg, and the yield reached 139 000 kg · hm-2. It showed moderate resistance to celery early blight. It is suitable for all kinds of greenhouse facilities and open cultivation all over the country.
