A New Sour Jujube Cultivar‘Liyuan Zhenzhu 14’

Abstract: ‘Liyuan Zhenzhu 14’,a new sour jujube(Ziziphus spinosa Hu.)cultivar,was selected from sour jujube seedlings resources. The fruit is oval. The average fruit weight is 1.51 g,the soluble solids content is 14.2%,and the vitamin C content is 8.48 mg • g-1. The flesh has sour flavor. The seed is full and the seed kernel rate is 26.22%. The fruits ripen in late August. It has high and stable yield,and the average output is 22 600 kg • hm-2.
