Abstract: ‘Gan Morel 1’is a high-yielding,superior-quality,and highly adaptable cultivar obtained through spore isolation,artificial domestication,and systematic breeding from wild morel fruiting bodies collected in Jinggangshan,Jiangxi. The mycelium grows best with maltose as the carbon source,peptone as the nitrogen source,under conditions of pH 5 and 25 ℃. The fruiting bodies are solitary and conical in shape. The ascocarp pileus is dark brown,measuring 4.5-7.5 cm in length and 3.2-4.6 cm in width. It is hollow,with a sunken,honeycomb-like surface and moderately dense ridges,where the longitudinal ribs are quite distinct. The ascocarp stipe is white,2.2-3.8 cm long and 1.5-3.2 cm in diameter. This cultivar is suitable for cultivation in the Jiangxi region,typically grown in greenhouse facilities. The average yield of fresh fruting body reached 5 694 kg · hm^-2.
