A New Plum Cultivar‘Hongyunli’

Abstract: ‘Hongyunli’,a new plum cultivar derived from a bud mutation of‘Cuihongli’in Qingyun Village,Danling County. Its mature fruits average 25-35 g in weight with purple-red skin and yellow flesh,occasionally exhibiting flaky red. The flesh is crispy and free-stone,yielding an edible rate of 96.8%. Chemical analysis reveals soluble solids of 13.0%-14.9%,total acid of 5.2-6.8 g · kg-1,total sugar at 10%,and vitamin C content of 0.46 mg · kg-1. In the fifth year of planting,the yield is 196.8-210.8 kg · hm-2,with excellent quality,strong adaptability to the environment,and strong tolerance. This cultivar ripens in late July in the Meishan areas of Sichuan.
