A New Processing-orientation Type Pepper Cultivar‘Yuanjiao 34’

Abstract: ‘Yuanjiao 34’is a F1 hybrid for medium mature and processing-orientation pepper cultivar. It has a compact plants upright and a medium growth potential. The plant height is 85–90 cm and the plant width is 65–70 cm. The first inflorescence node is 10–11 nodes. The fruit is horn-shaped,with a 15 cm longitudinal diameter and a 3 cm transverse diameter,and 2 ventricles. The number of fruit set per plant is 55–65. The ripe fruit is red,dehydration speed is fast,suitable for drying. The color value of dry pepper is 22.3,and the pungency degree is 11635.8 SHU. From planting to maturity for 100 days,the average dried pepper yield was 8.3 t · hm-2. It is suitable for direct sowing cultivation or seedling transplanting in spring at Xinjiang region.
