Abstract: ‘Zhongguohong’is a new colored-leaf cultivar which is selected from the progeny of Acer rubrum L. The leaf with five lobes turns light red while the leaf veins turn bright red from the 20th of October. The best ornamental time of the leaves is in early and middle November，the ornamental period lasts for 30–35 days. Eight-year old‘Zhongguohong’has no flowers and fruits. The tree grows well and has a wide adaptability.
