A New Poplar Cultivar‘Huihuang 1’with Yellower Green Leaves

Abstract: A new poplar cultivar‘Huihuang 1’was selected from the PaGLK suppressive expression transgenic line by staminiferous plant of triploid Populus alba × P. berolinensis as the receptor. The expression level of PaGLK1 gene in leaves decreased in the cultivar,so photosynthetic pigment content decreased. Stem is straight at seedling stage;lenticel is round;leaf upper surface is yellow-green in summer. The leaf color is beautiful,so it has good ornamental effect. It is suitable for city greening .
