Abstract:

‘Huaiyang Jinhuacai’is a new Medicago polymorpha cultivar obtained from local variety
of Yangzi River areas. It is characteristic with high yield，fast growth rate，strong stress resistance and good
multiple characters. Strong branches and cutting，crude protein 29.41%，crude ash 7.94%，neutral detergent
fiber 21.71%，acid detergent fiber 10.29%，The average yield is 30 000 kg · hm-2. The cultivar is suitable
for autumn protected and open field cultivation in the lower Yangtze River region.
