A New High Yield Cultivar‘Shenxiang 18’in Lentinula edodes

Abstract: Protoplast monokaryons prepared from Lentinula edodes,late maturing strain‘Shenxiang 15’and medium maturing strain‘939’,were intercrossed using asymmetric hybridization methods. ‘Shenxiang 18’was selected among those hybrid offspring strains through multi-year and multi-sites trails. It has excellent characteristics such as high yield,good quality and easily management. The yield arrived at 1 kg fresh mushroom per kg dry materials. The new cultivar is appropriate to be planted in Zhejiang,Fujian Province and other autumn cultivating areas.
