Abstract: ‘Mid-May’is derived from crossing two Asiatic hybrids，‘Golden Horn’with yellow flowers as female parents and‘Brunello’with orange flowers as male parents. It blossoms early and has high flower yield. The average height of the plants is 65–70 cm，with flowers averaging 16–17 cm in diameter.‘Mid-May’has bright orange flowers with no speckle. The filaments and styles of the flowers are also orange，but their pollen is black brown. Further more，this hybrid is triploid with strong growing vigor and high complex resistance to main disease. It is suitable for planting in eastern China.
