A New Drying Chinese Jujube Cultivar‘Shanbei Changzao’

Abstract: Shanbei Changzao’is a drying and processing jujube cultivar selected from natural variations of‘Muzao’. It is high quality for drying.Average fruit mass is 14.3 g and maximum fruit mass is 23.2 g,the percentage of dried fruit portion is 58.0%,the content of sugar is 72% and acid content of 1.3% in dried fruit. It has a strong adaptability and has certain resistance to cold and dry,fruit cracking,anthrax and Lucorum. Itis suitable to be cultivated both along the bank of Yellow River in northeast Shaanxi Province and northwest Shanxi Province.
