Abstract:

‘Xinxiang Lajiao 4’is a new hybrid cultivar developed by crossing female parent ‘C-98-1’with male parent‘98-160’. The hot pepper has long sheep-horn fruit shape，20–25 cm fruit length，4–5 cm fruit diameter，0.35 cm pulp thickness and 50–70 g fruit mass. The cultivar also has many great charactors,such as beautiful light green color，straight fruit-shape, spicy flavor, prematurity and resistance to bacterial wilt，Phytophthora capsici，as well as virus disease. Its yield is up to 67 500–90 000 kg · hm^-2. It is suitable for cultivation in protected field in the northern and open field in the southern.
