A New Hybrid Variety Carrot Used a s Dried Product‘Tianhong 2’

Abstract: ‘Tianhong 2’, a new hybrid variety of carrot was selected by using male sterile-three line breeding technology. It has a higher content of drymatter and carotene than control. Rehydration rate is 6.7 times. Whole root of this variety including epidermis, phloem, cambium and p ith is orange red, symmetrical, and leaf growing upward, average yield over 60 000 kg/hm2. It is suitable for summer and autumn growth.
