Abstract: ‘Zaoyue’,a new Rosa chinensis cultivar from‘Xinxue’,was bred via simulated space irradiation,tissue culture,and selection. Characterized by a compact habit（30-40 cm）,glossy dark green leaves,and small sub-orbicular flowers（4-6 cm;orange-yellow to white）,it exhibits precocious flowering（3-4 months from sowing）. With a peak leaf callus induction rate of 71.4% and robust rooting,‘Zaoyue’is an ideal genotype for genetic transformation,offering significant potential for landscaping and molecular breeding.
