A New Actinidia eriantha Cultivar‘Guimao 1’

Abstract: ‘Guimao 1’is a new cultivar of kiwifruit bred from the wild resources of Actinidia eriantha Benth. in Jiangkou,Guizhou Province. This cultivar has characteristics such as stable yield,late ripening,the fruit ripens from late October to early November. The fruit sharp is cylindrical,the average weight of fruit is 41.5 g. The peel is light green and flesh is green and heart is yellow green. The soluble solids content is 12.9% and vitamin C is 3.33 mg · g-1 after ripening. The fruit is easy peeling after ripening with sweet and sour flavor moderately. The fruit is highly resistant to storage. It can be stored at room temperature for 40 to 55 days and refrigerated for over 90 days. The fruit is suitable for fresh-eating and processing. The yield is about 24 440 kg · hm-2 in the sixth year of planting.‘Guimao 1’has high resistance to bacterial canker. It’s suitable for cultivation in kiwifruit producing areas and regions with similar ecological conditions in Guizhou Province.
