A New Wine Grape Cultivar‘Zijing Xianglu’

Abstract: ‘Zijing Xianglu’is a new Vitis amurensis Rupr. cultivar,which resulting from the crossing between female parent V. Amurensis‘Zuo Shan Er’and male parent hybrid cultivar‘Zuoyouhong’. The fruit has a conical shape,the average weight of a single spike is 161.06 g,the average weight of a single grain is 1.36 g. Fruit soluble solids,total acid content and juice yield are 20.7%,10.13 g · kg-1 and 65.97%,respectively. It is suitable for producing dry red wine as a single cultivar. Five years of high yield,with an average yield of 17 150 kg · hm-2 during the peak fruiting period. It shows strong cold resistance and is adapted to mountainous or semi-mountainous regions with a frost-free period ≥ 125 d and ≥ 10 ℃ active accumulated temperature ≥ 2 500 ℃.
