A New Pepper Cultivar‘Qianjiao 12’

Abstract: ‘Qianjiao 12’,a new pepper cultivar for fresh food,is F1 generation of the female parent L220-1 and male parent HMRL-1 hybrid. The plant type is semi-upright,precocity,line shaped fruit,the length and cross diameter of fruit is 23.9 cm and 1.6 cm,respectively. The per weight of fruit is 19.2 g, The fructification of per plant are 51,the average yield is 42 208.5 kg · hm-2. Commercial fruit color is dark green,fruiting period is 98 d. The content of vitamin C and capsaicin is 782 mg · kg-1 and 31.3 mg · kg-1,respectively. Strong resistance to disease and stress. It is suitable for spring protection and open cultivation in Guizhou Province and similar climate areas.
