Abstract: ‘Huayou 3’is a male sterile diploid cybrid produced by protoplast fusion with‘Guoqing 1’Satsuma mandarin as callus parent and‘Shatian’pummelo as leaf parent. It grows vigorously. Due to the fertile pistil，‘Huayou 3’can produce seedless fruits when cultivated separately from other citrus cultivars. The mature fruit is orange-yellow and pyriform or cucurbit in shape，having the average fruit weight of 978 g，medium peel thickness and the edible rate of 54%. The pulp is pale-yellow with low acid and aroma，containing total soluble solids（TSS）of 13%–15% and total acid（TA）of 0.4%–0.7%. In Wuhan，the fruit ripening period is from November to December.
