A New Pod Pepper Cultivar‘Qiangshi 55’

Abstract: ‘Qiangshi 55’,a new pod pepper cultivar,originated from the cross combination of GDC55 × GDC114. The plant is compact,erect,with many branches and medium plant height. The fruit is bright,ox horn shaped,large,mid-early ripening. The cultivar can bear fruit continuously and has a long harvest period. The average weight of single fruit is about 7 g,and the average yield is about 35 265 kg • hm-2. Vitamin C content is 1.44 mg • g-1,and capsaicin content is 0.91%. It has high yield,stable yield,strong resistance and good commodity.
