Abstract: ‘Jiping 4’is a new late ripening apple cultivar selected from the seedlings of‘Nagafu 2’. The fruit shape is conical. The fruit shape index is 0.96. And the fruit weight is 180–210 g. The fruit skin is glossy and in fully yellow color. The flesh is light yellow，crisp，juicy，sour-sweet，palatable，with firmness of 9.11 kg • cm-2，soluble solids content of 17.21%. It ripens in the mid-to-late October in Hebei Province，the yield in the third year of planting was about 37 500 kg • hm-2.
