Abstract: ‘Jike 20’ is a new watermelon hybrid of early maturity and big fruit. The fruit is globe shaped with dark green skin and dark stripes，covered with dense fruit powder and the peel is hard. The bright red flesh is crisp，with 12.8% solube solids content in center and the seed is large. The total growing period is about 95 d and the fruit development period is 33 d. The average fruit weight is 9.25 kg. The yield is 93 525 kg · hm^-2. The cultivar is suitable for spring open field and small plastic greenhouse cultivation in three northeast provinces.
