A New Tomato Cultivar‘Wanhong 16’

Abstract: ‘Wanhong 16’is a new early-medium ripening hybrid tomato. It is of infinite-growth-type. The first inflorescence sets on the 7th–8th nodes. The matured fruits are red in color and oblate in shape. The average single fruit weight is 200 g. The fruits has good hardness and long shelf life. The soluble solids content is 4.9%. The yield is about 135 t ? hm-2 in protected fields. It is tolerant to low temperature and low light. It is resistant to leaf mould and TYLCV(Tomato yellow leaf curl virus)in field. It is suitable for protected cultivation in Jianghuai Basin and the same ecological area.
