‘Huofenghuang’was selected from the seedling of micro pomegranate. It grows fast，which tree shape like cluster，crown is opening，branches is strong. It can grow 50–85 cm in 5 years old，leaves are long elliptic type（0.5 cm × 1.5 cm），color is thick green. Surface is glossy shine. The period of flowering is 150–220 d. Bud is orange. Petal is Chinese red，which has 3 to 4 pieces and each piece is 1 cm × 2 cm；Pomegranate fruit is more symmetrical（d = 3.5–5.0 cm）. There are 15 to 25 fruits averge tree. Fruit color appears red，purple，rose red. There is a high ornamental，which flowers and fruit is monoecious almost 110 days.
