A New Excellent Mid-late Ripening Table Cultivar‘Yujiao’

Abstract:

‘Yujiao’is a new table cultivar of Chinese jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) selected from the natural-pollinated seedlings of‘Daxuezao’,it is mid-late ripening and highly resistant to fruit shrinking and cracking. The fruits are round,dark red,and ripen in late September with average fruit weight of 19.71 g and edible ratio of 96.2%. The fruit tastes excellent owning to its crisp,juicy and sweet pulp.‘Yujiao’has advantages of early-fruiting and high yield and is suitable to be cultivated in Xianxian,Zanhuang,Xingtang of Hebei and other areas with similar ecological conditions.
