Abstract: ‘Meiwang 6’is a new netted melon cultivar crossed by inbred line B60 as female parent and inbred line QM as male parent. The fruit is round in shape,with a grayish green skin and evenly covered with coarse reticulation. The weight of single fruit is 1.5-1.7 kg. The pulp colar is yellow green,with a soft texture and intense aroma. The central soluble solid content above 16%. The plant exhibits moderate growth and sets one fruit per plant. The entire growth period is about 108 days,and the fruit development period is about 48 days. The production capacity ranges from 44 000-46 000 kg · hm^-2. The cultivar is suitable for spring protected cultivation in most regions of China.
