Abstract: ‘Aima 2’is a new detoxified potato cultivar systematically selected from a local cultivar in Aima Township,Namling County,Shigatse City,Xizang. It is a high-starch cultivar suitable for fresh consumption and processing,characterized by late maturity. Its growth period is approximately 120 days,with an average plant height of 70.2 cm. The average weight is 1 096.06 g per plant,and the average number of tubers is 12.5 per plant. The commercial tuber rate is 56.79%,and the plants exhibit strong cold and drought resistance. This cultivar is well-suited for cultivation in sandy loam soils with good texture and convenient irrigation and drainage in agricultural areas at altitudes ranging from 2 600 to 4 200 meters. The yield is 31 590 kg · hm^-2.
