Abstract: ‘Chumohua 2’is a new konjac cultivar with well-rounded characteristics,developed through years of systematic breeding using local germplasm resources of Amorphophallus konjac from Chuxiong,Yunnan Province. Its petioles exhibit a yellowish-green base color with scattered oblong or irregular greenish-brown spots. The corm has dark brown epidermis and white-green flesh. The average yield of commercial tubers is 57 495 kg · hm^-2,with a dry chip starch content of 68% and a viscosity of 26 000 mPa · s. The growth period from emergence to natural lodging is approximately 170-200 days,and it demonstrates strong resistance to soft rot. This cultivar is suitable for cultivation in regions of Yunnan Province at altitudes of 1 500-2 500 m.
