Abstract: ‘Chengmei 1’is a new strawberry cultivar selected from the hybrid offspring of‘Sweet Charlie’as the female parent and‘401-8’as the male parent. It is an everbearing cultivar with medium plant growth and a semi-erect plant form. The fruit is long and conical,red and glossy,with a sweet and sour flavor and a strong aroma. The fruit is relatively large,with an average single fruit weight of 37.7 g. It has good storage and transportation tolerance,with a fruit hardness of 1.58 kg · cm^-2. It is highly productive,with an average yield per plant of 496.2 g. It shows resistance to powdery mildew,anthracnose,leaf spot,and other diseases. It is suitable for protected cultivation in northern Hebei Province or in regions with similar ecological conditions during summer and autumn.
