Abstract: ‘Yanghongmei’is a new Cymbidium goeringii hybrid cultivar，which was selected from the cross‘Dafugui’בRuimei’. The leaf color is jade green，with 3–4 leaves per plant. The length of the leaf is 15–25 cm，and the width is 0.8–1.1 cm，the twisty leaves extend to both sides. The flower bud is short，round，and light purplish red. The sepal texture is thick and glossy，the sepal newly emerging from bracts colour is fresh purplish red，becoming to light brown during late phase of flowering，with reddish brown longitudinal veins. The peduncle length is 8–10 cm，with one flower. The diameter of flower head is about 4.5–5.0 cm，the sepal is plum shape，the petal is clam shells shape and paralleled，the lip is big fringe shape with bright scarlet U-shaped plaque. It begins to bloom in early February and the flowering lasts 30–35 d，fragrance of a flower is rich.
