Abstract:

‘Guangmi 1’is a new pumpkin cultivar bred by crossing self-line‘Zaoxuan 1’（female parent）and inbred line‘Changqing 2’（male parent）and it has many excellent characteristics such as early maturing，high fruit-setting rate and commodity fruit rate. Single fruit weight is about 3.5–5.0 kg，the biggest fruit can be up to 10 kg. The appearance of the fruit looks good，including short rod type，and skin with orange yellow stripes. In addition，‘Guangmi 1’has good quality with orange flesh，high disease resistance and good adaptive capacity. The cultivar is suitable to be widely cultivated in south，central and north China.
