Abstract: The cucumber cultivar‘Zhongyu’is a new hybrid developed by the cross of‘07-24’and ‘07-13’. It shows a trailing trait，and bears in main vine.‘Zhongyu’is characterized by early maturation and strong parthenocarpic ability.The fruit shape is long and exhibits clavateform with 18–21 cm in length and 3.4–4.2 cm in diameter. The fruit skin shows light green color with brightness and litter white papilloma.‘Zhongyu’forms a compact flesh，conferring crisp and faint scent.. The average weight of a single fruit is about 140–180 g，and it yields 96 375–100 845 kg · hm^-2. During winter-spring or autumn-spring seasons，‘Zhongyu’can be practiced in solar greenhouse in North China，and shows better thermostability and high disease resistance.
