A New Salvia miltiorrhiza Cultivar‘Chuan Danshen 1’

Abstract: ‘Chuan Danshen 1’is a new Salvia miltiorrhiza cultivar,which is derived from the Salvia miltiorrhiza cultivated mixed population in Sichuan by system selection. The seeding stage is 65 to 90 d and the growth period is 240 to 270 d. There is no primary xylem in the core of root section. The average production of fresh roots is 12 987.45 kg· hm-2 andthe proportion of first grade products is 40.91%. The content of tanshinoneⅡA and salvianolic acid B are 0.24% and 5.11% respectively. Superiorities of cultivar are early emergence,long growing period,high yield and high superior product rate,good quality and so on. Its regional adaptability and resistance are strong,and it is suitable for cultivation in Longquan Mountain of Northwestern Sichuan.
